UW Medicine’s Neurosciences Institute comprehensive Pituitary Program is a quaternary-care referral center. Our specialists are trained to treat a broad spectrum of conditions, from the overt and easily resolved to the complex.

  • Evaluations and treatments
  • Endocrine testing
  • Neuroendocrine clinical nurses offer patient education and teaching for self-administered medications
  • Interventional Neuroradiology: Inferior petrosal sinus sampling
  • Endoscopic Surgery: Minimally invasive treatment of pituitary and parasellar tumors
  • Gamma Knife radiosurgery using the new state-of-the-art Perfexion stereotactic radiosurgery system

Surgeons perform minimally invasive endoscopic procedures, which are safer and promote the quickest possible recovery for patients. We provide elective and acute pituitary care and can perform emergency surgery 24/7, 365 days per year. We offer weekly tele-consults for referring providers which can be coordinated by calling: 206-598-3313. Our Skull Base Tumor Board offers a multidisciplinary review of consultations.
